About Me

I am an IT and cybersecurity professional building on a foundation of nearly a decade in early childhood education and three years in federal government service.

My career began in the classroom, where I spent over ten years in roles ranging from infant and toddler care to Lead Teacher, developing strong skills in communication, attention to detail, and managing sensitive information in compliance-driven environments.

I later transitioned into federal service as a Legal Administrative Specialist with the Social Security Administration’s Division of International Operations, where I maintained a Public Trust clearance while managing confidential international beneficiary records, resolving complex data discrepancies, and supporting high-priority caseloads. My work there was recognized with both an Exemplary Contribution or Service Award and an Outstanding Performance Award.

That federal experience sparked a deeper interest in technology and security, driving my transition into IT and cybersecurity. I currently hold CompTIA A+ certification and am actively pursuing Network+, Security+, and BCR Cyber SOC analyst certification.

I am continuing my education at the University of Maryland Global Campus, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity Technology alongside undergraduate certificates in Cloud Computing & Networking and Cyber Threat Hunting, with an expected graduation in Fall 2028. I reinforce this coursework through a self-directed home lab, where I practice networking, virtualization, and system administration.

I bring a unique combination of people-centered experience, federal-level attention to detail, and growing technical expertise to the cybersecurity field, and I’m excited to apply that combination toward protecting systems and data.
